Mission Conference Is Coming!

Our annual Mission Conference will be held from April 30th – May 4th. Ron Williams will be hosting the event which will include speakers from Life Saver Ministry, Central Florida Children’s Home and others. Be here and be prepared for a blessing. We will start at 7pm every night except for Sunday when the start time will be 10am.

Sunday School Is Growing!

The Lord has doubled our Sunday School Classes! Starting Sunday morning we now offer the following classes;

I.  Beginners – PreK & Kindergarten – Miss Vee
II.  Primary – 1st – 3rd grade – Miss Tonya
III.  Junior – 4th – 6th grade – Miss Pam
IV.  Teen Girls – 7th – 12th grade – Miss Candace
V.  Teen Boys – 7th – 12th grade – Mr David
VI.  Adult Class – Pastor Jay

King’s Kids is Moving!

King’s Kids, for children ages 3 thru 6th grade, will now be meeting on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm and running concurrent with the Sunday Evening Services, This change is made possible due to volunteers stepping forward and taking their part in the body of the Church. Please pray about what your part of the body is.

"Gay and Lovin' It"

McDonalds refuses to sever ties with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), effectively telling Christians that the gay agenda is more important than their families or their dollars. Since the company gave an undisclosed amount of money to the NGLCC in return for being recognized as a major promoter of the homosexual agenda and placing Richard Ellis, vice president of communications of McDonald’s USA, on the NGLCC Board of Directors, McDonalds has seen a drop in Christian dollars being spent at it’s location across the country.

It is our prayer that McDonalds will exit the political fray and get back in touch with the family values that made them great before the stock holders start to suffer and irreparable harm is done to them and their image. Already rumors abound at the local High School that “McDonald’s food turns you gay”. While we know that this is not possible, since being homosexual is a conscious choice not something someone is “forced” into, it does show the beginnings of a backlash against what was once a leader in the business world.

My family and I have completely eliminated McDonalds from our diets, a good thing for our health, and choose to spend our dollars at establishments that do not actively promote sinful and destructive behavior such as homosexuality and I encourage you and your family to do the same.

“Christian” License Plate Supports Anti-Christian Agenda

The Florida legislature is considering a new vanity plate with the words” I Believe” and the Christian cross. At first glance I thought this would be a good thing, particularly when I noticed that the anti-Christian ACLU was fighting against it. As always to find the real intentions behind these things you have to follow the money. It seems that the funds from the sale of this “Christian” tag would be going to support non-Christian, Catholic schools through an agency known as “Faith in Teaching Inc”. At least with the ACLU you know that you are fighting Satan, the Catholic church’s methods are much more sinister, from the deliberate manipulation of the Bible to the execution of Bible Believing Christian around the world, they show who their master is. Although I would love to be able to display a tag that proclaimed Jesus, there is no way I can support this one.

5 Ways To Find Direction From The Bible

1. Hear The Word of God.

Matthew 11:15: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

It is important to be in a good Bible believing church and hear the preaching and teaching of the Word. Taking notes will increase the retention of what you are learning. Hearing is the first step of obtaining direction for our lives through the Bible.

2. Read The Word of God.

I Timothy 4:13: Till I come, give attendance to reading,…

Set aside time every day to read God’s Word. Underline or write down those passages that are the most relevant to you. Don’t worry about the passages you don’t understand, as you are faithful in the things that you do understand the Holy Spirit will reveal and clarify more of His Word.

3. Study The Word of God.

II Timothy 2: 15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As you read look up other verses that pertain to the passage that you are reading. A good study bible such as the KJV Thompson Chain Reference Bible, or the KJV Open Bible will help. It is also useful to have a good bible dictionary at hand.

4. Meditate on The Word of God.

I Timothy 4: 15: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

If you know how to worry than you know how to meditate. Unfortunately we usually “worry” on the bad things in our lives. After you have heard, read and studied The Word spend some time “worrying” on it. Meditating lets the Word of God speak to you. Meditation makes the Bible personal and profitable.

5. Live The Word of God.

II Timothy 3:14: But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Word of God must be lived out in our lives, not just heard, read, studied, and meditated upon. Jesus gives a stern warning to those who hear but do not live His Word in Matthew 7:24-27

Never forget that we are in a spiritual war with Satan, who wants to snatch God’s Word from our hearts and life.

Teen Rally Was A Huge Success!

The Teen Extreme Rally was a huge success. With several visitors hearing a clear, dramatic presentation of the Gospel and several indicating their need for a Savior. Kevin & Samuel Terry did an awesome job and a good time was had by all in attendance.

Yale Art major Aliza Shvarts has purposely allowed herself to be impregnated over the last 9 months and each time she was successful she murdered the child. Shvarts videotaped the murders and keep the resulting blood and bodies which will be used in an “Art” display at the college. According to Yale University financial documents they received approx 500 million in Federal tax dollars last year, that allows the to fund such atrocities. Contact your elected officials and tell then that you are tired of your tax dollars being used for such abhorrent activities and demand that this deeply disturbed student get the help she is screaming out for. Liberals are quick to throw up the separation of “church and state” when something as innocuous as the Ten Commandments are displayed in a court house or on school grounds but rush opened armed to support and fund attacks on God and His people. This also begs the question as to why she is not facing any criminal charges. It would seem that she would have violated several laws including, performing a medical procedure without a license, improper disposal of a human body, improper disposal of medical waste, and murder to name a few.

Martial Arts Demonstration Saturday

Pastor Jay McCaig invites everyone to a Martial Arts Demonstration being held at Crossroads Baptist Church this Saturday, 4/19/08, at 7:00pm. In addition to the Martial Arts we will be having pizza and snacks. Several local merchants are joining in and have donated prices that can be won by the people in attendance. Hope to see you here!

Kevin Terry, 3rd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, will be holding a Martial Arts Demonstration with his son, Samuel Terry. While in Hollywood Kevin worked as a stuntman and studied with Chuck Norris, Terry Updike & Pat Johnson (stunt coordinator for the Karate Kid series). Kevin was also the leader of the Los Angeles “Guardian Angels” for two years. In 1984 Kevin gave his heart to God and was sent to be a missionary in Mexico. Kevin has given Karate demonstrations in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America and every Central American country over the last 20 years.

16 year old Samuel Terry holds two black belts, one in Moo Duk Kwan and one from Philippino Kung Fu. Samuel was the Florida State champ for Kids USA in Kickboxing, weapons and grappling champ and won Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports when he was 12 years old.

Three New Small Group / Sunday School Classes are Starting!

Starting Sunday, April 27th we will be adding 3 new classes to our already long schedule of Small Group and Sunday School classes! The three new classes will be;

1. Beginners – for children ages 4 & 5 – Taught by Miss Vee
2. Teen Boys Class – for young men in Middle & High School years Taught by Bro David
3. Teen Girls Class – for young ladies in Middle & High School years Taught by Miss Candace

Miss Tanya will be taking over the Primary class vacated by Miss Vee.

Government Caught Lying About Abortion Funding

After years of lies from the Federal Government we now know what was suspected all along, your tax dollars are being used to fund the murder of unborn children. Recently released documents show that the US Government has given the for–profit company Planned Parenthood $336 million of your tax dollars. Planned Parenthood performs 1 out of 4 abortions in the USA and made over 1 Billion dollars last year murdering babies.

For our government to fund this satanic practice is a clear violation of the principle of separation of church and state that the liberals cling to so gleefully. Contact your elected officials and tell them to stop using your money to fund these murders. This is especially frustrating in light of the current cutbacks in schooling and fire protection we are seeing. Court rules it is illegal to ask someone if they are a homosexual

The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that it is illegal for sites such as Roomamtes.com to ask if a person is “gay or straight”. In their ruling they equated asking someone if they are gay to asking them about their color or race. This judgment is another attempt by Satan to further blur the line between what is a “choice” and what is “not a choice”. No one chooses their race, family, nationality, handicap or color (except maybe Michael Jackson). But homosexuality is a choice. Homosexuality is defined by the person you “choose” to have sex with. When someone “chooses” to violate God clear teaching and have sex with someone of the same gender they “choose” the label of homosexual. By requiring that roommate searching sites not be able to properly screen candidates we are giving sexual deviants open access to our youth who may be coerced into a sinful, hate filled, unnatural relationship. This also opens the door for it to become illegal to ask others about who they “choose” to have sex with whether it is with children, animals, relatives, ect. It is my prayer that we can get back to the day when courts judged people according to the existing law and were not creators of the law.

McDonald's Coming Out Of The Closet

McDonald's has signed on to a nationwide effort to promote "gay" and "lesbian" business ventures.

According to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, McDonald’s will aggressively promote the homosexual agenda. In remarks on McDonald's Web site concerning the company becoming a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Skinner wrote: "Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world … and we do."

The company gave an undisclosed amount of money to the NGLCC in return for being recognized as a major promoter of the homosexual agenda. In return, NGLCC placed Richard Ellis, vice president of communications of McDonald’s USA, on the NGLCC Board of Directors.

Ellis was quoted as saying: "I'm thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce team and ready to get to work. I share the NGLCC's passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community, and I look forward to playing a role in moving these important initiatives forward."

McDonald's refused to comment to World Net Daily on the placement of its executive on the board of the "gay" advocacy organization but did send an e-mail confirming the corporation's support for the agenda of the homosexual business lobby.

"McDonald's is indeed a Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally of NGLCC. Our vice president of U.S. communications, Richard Ellis, was recently elected to its board of directors," said Heidi M. Barker, senior director of media relations for McDonald’s. NGLCC describes itself as promoting the LGBT community first and always, including same sex marriage.

NGLCC gives credit to sponsors such as McDonald's for its financial and other support that helps in its work. "Through the commitment of our corporate partners, the NGLCC has been able to advance the ideas and causes of the LGBT business community," the Chamber said.

The Redefining of Sin

The Bible tells us in I Peter 3:11 that we are to “eschew evil, and do good” but we are seeing a redefining of what is good and evil in our society. One of the many things I love about my Bible is that it is black & white on the issues of sin, God never leaves us guessing about what he expects from us. The problem is that prideful man does not like being told when they are wrong. So to avoid what they perceive as an accusatory finger they redefine sin by their own understanding;

What Hillary calls a “miss-speak”, God calls a lie.

When Obama says “that’s just how black churches act”, God calls it racism and hate.

What McCain calls “reaching across the aisle”, God calls compromising the Word of God.

What the abortionists call “a women’s right to choose”, God calls murder

What the youth call “making-out”, God calls fornication.

What the schools teach as “self-worth”, God calls sinful pride

In short we can call sin anything we want but in the end the result is the same. Romans 3:26 says, “The wages of sin is death”. Wages are what we earn or deserve. But the good news of the gospel is that there is also a free gift from God – Jesus Christ. This gift can save anyone even a politician who has made a life and built a platform on sin. Where sin causes death Jesus brings life. Where sin tears apart Jesus reunites. Jesus told us “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Won’t you accept him as your savior today?

Third Graders Plot To Attack Teacher

In the ever mounting pile of evidence for the need of letting God back into our schools we are confronted by yet another planned attack by students in a school. This time it was third graders planning to attack their teacher. See complete story here.
This country, as well as our school system, was founded on Christian principles by Christian men and women. What worked so well for more that a hundred years has been systematically dismantled by liberal atheists while Christians sat on their hands and did nothing. Currently we are sorely lacking Christian men and women in political offices. We have many “wolfs in sheep’s clothing” bit very few Christians. None of our leading three candidates for the office of President can claim the banner of Christianity, although all three do.
It starts with standing up and being counted. Christians need to stand up and let the current politicians know that we will not support any legislation that contradicts our ultimate authority, the Word of God. Secondly we need to vote the Bible when we go to the polls. Thirdly we need more Christians to get into the fray and run for political offices, many will be chewed up and spit out by the liberal, Satan controlled media but the message will make its way through the clutter and the next generation will find the path a little clearer. And most importantly we must pray for our country and its politicians. I pray for President Bush as I Prayed for impeached President Clinton as I will pray for whoever our next President will be. I pray that they will turn their hearts to Jesus and lead this country in the spirit of Moses and Jacob. Please pray with me. We must get God back in our schools and government before it is to late.
