9 Souls Saved

I have been sick for a couple of weeks now, which has caused me some angst regarding the ministry God has given me. There is so much to do, but the body is weak. In spite of my own shortcomings God allowed me to lead 9 souls this week to the saving Grace of Jesus Christ! Leading someone to the Lord just never gets old. Why God chose to use such weak, corruptible vessels such as us as the carriers of His Gospel I may not understand until I stand face-to-face with my Lord. I’m just glad He did! Please pray for me as I pray for you. Pastor Jay

Lord's Supper This Sunday!

Join us this Sunday as we remember the sacrifice the Lord made for us by observing the Lord’s Supper. This is open to anyone who has accepted Christ as their Savior and been biblically baptized (biblical baptism is by immersion not by sprinkling). Hope to see everyone here!

Book Of The Month - Pursuing Righteousness

Pursuing Righteousness - by Earl J. Headley

The Bible passage II Timothy 2:22 instructs us to pursue righteousness, but the steps in this pursuit of righteousness are found throughout the Old and New Testaments. Author Earl J. Headley takes us on a journey through the scriptures, taking a path to leading a life of righteousness. The four sections: Walking in Love, Obedience, Faith and Peace, break down the steps into simple instructions and moving scripture passages in a way that is inspiring and easy to understand.

If you like books with lots of scripture rightly divided then this book will make an great addition to your library. After you read it I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

McDonald’s Encourages Homosexual Violence Against Police

McDonald’s continues its support for the homosexual movement. During a McDonald’s sponsored homosexual pride parade in San Francisco, McDonald’s aired a commercial praising a gang of homosexuals who violently attacked police officers that were raiding a Homosexual bar in New York City because the bar was serving alcohol without a license. During this violent, unprovoked attack 4 police officers were injured after being beaten with beer bottles and other weapons. This is the behavior that McDonalds now encourages and promotes. You can view the commercial by clicking HERE.

It was recently discovered that McDonalds had become a "Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally" with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. In exchange for a $20,000 donation from McDonalds to the NGLCC Richard Ellis, vice president of communications for McDonald’s, was placed on the board of NGLCC.

McDonald's made it great as a “family value” restaurant. It is clear from these recent events that the current leaders of this once great company are more interested in promoting violence, hate and immorality and not family values. I encourage you to make you voices heard by contacting your local McDonalds and letting them know that you will not support the terrorist activities of the homosexual community.

Souls Being Saved In The Jail Ministry!

Last week saw 12 more men come to know the Lord as their Savior as a result of our ministry at the Osceola County Jail! I was recently asked how we are seeing so many souls coming to Christ every week in our jail ministries when others are seeing few, if any, conversions in a year. The simple answer is we invite them to make a decision. Many of the teachers fail to take the simple step of sharing Jesus Christ as part of their Bible studies. They do a good job setting the table, but never invite anyone to eat.

Several months ago I was asked to fill in at a study that was being run by a man who later left our ministry in a fit of pride and rebellion. I was informed that this was a Christian group so there was no need in preaching on salvation. I gave the message God laid upon my heart and 5 of the 10 men came forward for salvation. Instead of joy on the part of the teacher the news of the Salvations was met with indifference and I must have said something to “confuse” or “trick” them into salvation. It wasn’t anything special that I said, it wasn’t anything of me. The Holy Spirit had been working on these men for some time they were eager and hungry to be saved, but no one shared Jesus with them. Lots of morals and Bible stories, but no Jesus.

As Christians we need to be bolder in our sharing of the Gospel. If we would simply take the step of inviting many more would come to know Christ.

There is another reason why many ministries or seemingly Godly men never have a conversion. The value of a ministry is easily determined by the fruit it produces. I know men who have worked in their “ministries” for years without one person being saved, without one life changed in any sense of a positive way. Matthew chapter 7 talks about these men. It calls them “false profits” that need to be “hewn down, and cast into the fire”. These men contribute more to their own pride and martyrdom than to the Kingdom of God. Beware of ministries that do not produce fruit. Just as a healthy orange tree will always produce oranges, a healthy, Godly Ministry will always produce Godly fruit.

Mission Conference was Awesome!

We had a great time during our mission conference last week. It went from Wednesday through Sunday. All of the speakers did an outstanding job and on Sunday we were blessed to have the residents of The Central Florida Children’s Home come and perform for us. The music was great and the testimonies tear jerking. I can not express how impressed we were with those kids and how God is working through them. Do You Know Why You Have Unmet Needs?

Philippians 4:19 States “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”But sometime our needs go unmet, why? Is God a liar? Is He ignoring us? Actually there are several reasons that our needs may go unmet, three of those reasons are;

1. God may not be talking about your needs in Philippians 4:19.

God is talking specifically to His children in this verse and the bible is very clear that we are not all the children of God. Actually even though we are all created by God none of us are born into God’s family. We become the children of God by adoption into His family. So if you have never received the free adoption he offers He is under no obligation to meet your needs.

2. Your needs maybe unmet because of your prayerlessness.

James 4:2 says that “ye have not because ye ask not”. God is a loving Father who wants to hear from His children about their needs. Most of us worry about our needs instead of praying for them.

Philippians 4:6 & 7 says “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” First comes prayer then comes peace!

3. Your needs may be unmet because of your priorities.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

The reverse of this verse is true as well – if we DON’T seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness then these things WON’T be added unto us.

It’s about priorities, about putting God first. The problem is many put things before God. Is their anything that you love more than God? Jesus will not tolerate any rivals! Put God first and everything else second and see how God will provide.

How Close Are You To God?

Here is a simple two-fold test to see exactly how close you are to the Lord.

1. How Sensitive Are You To Sin? – The closer you are to Jesus, the more sensitive you will be to sin, because sin is the one thing God hates. Movies that I liked as a youth are now very disturbing for me to watch because of the cursing and immoral behavior. It’s not that the movies have changed but that I have drawn closer to God and as a result have become more sensitive to the things that God hates.

2. How Separate Are You From Sin? – The man who is truly saved and abiding in Jesus does not even want to be around sin. The one you are close to is the one you will act like.

a. If you are living like Jesus, it is because you are close to Jesus.
b. If you are living like Satan it is because you are close to the devil.

John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If you are abiding in the Righteous vine, you will be bearing righteous fruit.

ACLU Demands Special Treatment For Homosexual Students

When High School Principle Daphne Beasley of Memphis became frustrated by the public sexual activity on school grounds she did what any good educator would do, she called the children’s parents. Now Beasley is being threatened with legal action by the ACLU because one of the couples whose parents were called were homosexual. While the ACLU does not have a problem with the straight children’s parents being called they are demanding that homosexual students are extended the privilege of having underage sex wherever they want without the fear that their parents may find out or any type of reprisal from the school system.

This bizarre double standard is just one more example of the Homosexual agenda the ACLU is trying to force upon us. According to the ACLU website they stand for “Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, sex, religion or national origin.” But in this case they are clearly looking for special rights. ACLU attorney Christine Sun stated “"It's raised our concerns about how gay students are treated,". Sun also said that the ACLU will take legal action if they do not receive a response from the Memphis School District before May 9. Notice there is no concern for the rights of the straight students only the one sodomite couple.

Obviously when a child is involved in sinful destructive behavior such as sexual activity the parents must be notified no matter who the child chooses as a partner.

Our position is that of God’s which says all sinners are treated equally. Romans 3:23 states that “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. All of us are sinners and as such Romans 6:23 tells us that “the wages of sin is death…”, equal for everyone, rich – poor, white – black, homosexual – straight, everyone is sinned and the punishment is death. But the good news is in the second half of Romans 6:23 “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”. That is the Good News of God there is a way to escape death! Romans 10:9 says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” A way that is easy and available to everyone! Won’t you accept Him today?

Day Two of the Missions Conference

Day two of the Missions Conference was awesome with Missionary Ron Williams hosting and the Word being brought to us by Evangelist Roland Lawson. Bro. Lawson issued the timeless challenge “choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” This challenging and relevant message was a blessing to everyone in attendance.

Tonight the speaker will be Bro. Dan Edens from Life Saver Ministries. See you there at 7pm!

Moms Stripped of Right To Choose By Pro-Death Senators

Senate Bill SB 2400 would have given pregnant women the right to choose to view a sonogram of their unborn child. Senators in the pocket of the billion dollar empire Planned Parenthood stripped women of this right to choose. Calling sonograms “a dangerous procedure” Planned Parenthood successfully defended their business model to murder children for profit. Planned Parenthood also stated that for a woman to have access to information about what was going on in side of her was a “violation of the right to privacy”. Whose privacy? The baby’s? We are deeply disappointed by those in the senate who have once again sold their votes to the pro-murder anti-Christian crowd.

List of Florida Senator who sold out to special interest;

Aronberg
Geller
Rich
Bennett
Ring
Bullard
Hill
Saunders
Carlton
Jones
Joyner
Justice
Dawson
King
Lawson
Wilson
Deutch
Lynn
Margolis
Dockery

Remember these names next time you go to the polls and vote the murderers out of office.

Note: Mike Haridopolos who represents District 26, where the church is located and many church members live and vote did not sell out his vote to the special interest group. Please contact him at haridopolos.mike.web@flsenate.gov and thank him for his support.

Paula Dockery who represents District 15 where many church members live is one of the Senators who sold their vote. You can email her at dockery.paula.web@flsenate.gov and let her know how disappointed you are in her for selling out the rights of mothers to make an informed decision.
